| Romantic Moment best in Sophomore FIlly Pace Elim By Frank & Ray Cotolo October 20, 2012 Romantic Moment took the lead in the early stages and paced wire-to-wire in the second three-year-old filly pace in 1:52.1 at Woodbine on Saturday. Romantic Moment took the lead, with Destiny’s Chance in second and Shelliscape in third, and led the field by the quarter in :27.2. Shelliscape was flushed out by Major Look in :56.1 (:28.4) but Romantic Moment kicked away from the field into the far turn. Destiny’s Chance was giving chase in second and Handsoffmycookie began to fan off cover with Major Look. Three-quarters was timed in 1:24.3 (:28.2). Romantic Moment was under a hand drive down the lane, while Apogee Hanover was closing strong on the inside and Rockaround Sue was rallying off the pylons. Romantic Moment held that duo at bay and won in 1:52.1 (:27.3). Rockaround Sue was in second, Apogee Hanover was third, Shelliscape was fourth and Handsoffmycookie finished fifth. Romantic Moment ($3.30) is by American Ideal, out of the mare Time N Again by Jate Lobell. She is owned by Brittany Farms, trained by Jimmy Takter and Yannick Gingras was in the bike.
